Job Description

Participates on a project team of engineers involved in the specification, design, development and test of hardware, that may include any of the following list of responsibilities: Coordinates the process of formal certification through internal homologation test labs. Defines the design and implementation processes and procedures. Responsible for board and product level complex architecture design. Writes board and product level functional and design specs and hardware manuals. Writes complete unit and integration test plans for entire product. Debugs complex system level problems. Performs complex system level unit and integration test. Designs complex ASICs and FPGA. Designs board level diagnostics firmware. Drives resolution of issues with CAD and Manufacturing Engineers in developing new boards. Designs system level simulation tests. Partners with in-house packaging and other compliance engineers during design process to ensure compliance requirements will be met. Resolves issues at customers sites. Interfaces with Customer Eng., Marketing, and Sales to understand customer problems and requirements and provide raw material for training and documentation. Provides product compliance updates to the Marketing and Eng. departments important to the certification process as requirements change. Participates in patent program.

Desired Candidate Profile

Should be proficient in all aspects of ASIC verification like coming up with test plan, environment building, test case writing, debugging and lab bring up.
Knowledge of code coverage and functional coverage.
Knowledge of gate level simulation, random and performance testing
Ability to work with remote teams
Excellent communication skills
Should have worked with HVL tools for simulation like verilog, vera, systemVerilog, C, C++.
Knowledge of scripting language like perl with the ability to write scripts for automation and regression.
Should have been part of successful tapeouts of at least 1-2 ASICs.
Verification of L2/L3 switching or data networking ASIC is preferred.
Good Knowledge of networking concepts like forwarding, QoS, Policing, NetFlow,Tunneling etc.would be a plus.

Education:

Minimum experience of 6+ yrs with BE or 5+ yrs with MS in ASIC verification.
