JOB OPPORTUNITY
We are currently recruiting for a Technical Consultant to work on our industry leading banking applications. They will elicit and capture the technical requirements of Reconciliation & Exceptions Management (R&EM) clients, work together with the customer to design performance architecture and to serve as the technical lead throughout the lifecycle of projects.
Job Purpose
Leads effort to elicit, validate and prioritize client technical requirements
Confirms technical requirements with client
Serves as the primary client interface from a technical perspective
Recommends hardware configuration and hardware sizing
Conveys general information to the client concerning platform compatibility and other technical standards of the R&EM solution
Explains software installation requirements, ensuring that all necessary arrangements are planned and executed
Advises clients on security matters, performance considerations, and overall
integration into the client IT infrastructure
Creates and maintains representative test environment for R&EM project team
Installs configured solution or assists installation process on site with client
Troubleshoots all technical issues through the life of the project
Leads effort with Project Manager and Solution Design Team to design a solution to fulfill requirements
Serves as chief internal representative of client technical requirements and environment to the Project Team
Provides assistance to resolve implementation specific defects that are technically related which come through Support
Liaises closely with members of Development to provide input and to receive continual training
Presents and discusses R&EM technology during the sales process as required
Provides technical architecture training on customer sites
Captures all pertinent installation information for all implementations

Job Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Must have 5+ Years software implementation experience, programming or scripting experience advantageous, and SQL
Ability to elicit and capture technical requirements
Professional and clear working manner on site with clients
Proven on site experience in technical consultancy
Expert in Windows environments and proficient in UNIX
Proficient with Oracle and SQL Server RDBMS
Knowledgeable of server hardware
Proficient with web environments and web servers, particularly Microsoft IIS and Apache
Understanding of J2EE application servers, particularly J Boss and Web Sphere
Knowledgeable of computer networks, networking hardware, and the Internet
Owns strong communication skills in both verbal and written form including a solid grasp of diplomacy and how to utilize communication style, temperament, tone, etc. both internally and externally
Willingness and ability to make critical technical decisions through the course of development projects
Ability to assess opinions and outputs of business and technical resources on the Project Team
Capable of understanding situations that are less than fully defined and detailed, exhibiting the ability to bring tangibility to ambiguous situations
Possesses significant experience in adhering to procedures and processes required for the effective implementation of projects
Ability to work in the collaborative spirit
Expert in analysis and problem solving
Ability to develop and enhance processes
Self-motivated and decisive
Education Desired:
Bachelor Degree in Management Information Systems and/or Business
