Description
The Technical Documentation Specialist will be responsible for creating well-organized, high-quality, error-free documentation for ANSYS products. This includes the following:

Designing, writing and maintaining online help, online manuals, and hardcopy manuals for ANSYS CDU products

Editing existing documentation and participating in peer review of documentation

Working on product teams to contribute to usability of product’s graphical user interface

Interviewing Subject Matter Experts to gather technical information

Ensuring that all documentation is reviewed and approved by technical experts before it is published

Participating in developing product/documentation plans and schedules

Delivering quality work on time to meet development schedules

Performs other job related duties that may be assigned by management from time to time

Requirements

BA in English, technical writing or related discipline, or equivalent experience

One year experience in writing software documentation
Experience creating online help for Windows and/or UNIX environments

Excellent interpersonal skills

Strong analytical and organizational skills

Familiarity with Windows and/or UNIX operating systems

Experience designing documentation with a user-focus

HTML and XML skills, experience with Epic Publisher and Doc Book XML a plus

Participates on a project team of engineers involved in the specification, design, development and test of hardware, that may include any of the following list of responsibilities: Coordinates the process of formal certification through internal homologation test labs. Should be proficient in all aspects of ASIC verification like coming up with test plan, environment building, test case writing, debugging and lab bring up.
Knowledge of code coverage and functional coverage.
Knowledge of gate level simulation, random and performance testing
Ability to work with remote teams
Excellent communication skills
Should have worked with HVL tools for simulation like verilog, vera, systemVerilog, C, C++.
Knowledge of scripting language like perl with the ability to write scripts for automation and regression.
Should have been part of successful tapeouts of at least 1-2 ASICs.
